Joining as a Member, Donating or Underwriting supports Bemidji Community Theater to ensure we can continue to provide the following:

Theater education for children through BCT JR., a 2-week summer camp.

Community outreach through its Play It Forward giving program.

Opportunities for individuals to mentor with experts in various fields.

Opportunities for new artists to showcase their talents in the Studio Works program.

Internships and workshops in all aspects of theater for people to hone specific skills.

Membership Entitles You To:

  • 1 free ticket to 1 show during the season
  • Voting privileges
  • Input into upcoming season
  • 10% off the cost of any item in the boutique and off the cost of any workshop fees

We currently do not solicit advertising for our programs, because of staffing resources and the increased cost of layout and design. However, if you wish to be an underwriter or make a donation and receive a mention in our show programs, we will gladly accommodate you.

All donations are tax deductible

CASH Donations: Your "no strings attached" donation allows us to channel money where we need it most. However, we will honor your request if you would rather designate your donation for a specific purpose.

PROPERTY Donations: We are always looking for period costumes, hats, and vintage or unusual furniture in good condition. We also accept items specific to a certain production or project.

SKILLED LABOR: Occasionally we need help with a project beyond our abilities. If you'd like to offer your services, we'll put you on our list.

Mission Statement: To provide theater education and an opportunity for people to pursue their interests in theater through acting and stagecraft support activities in production by and for community members.

Underwriting supports local theater which uses the talents of community members in all facets of theater.

Volunteer Time & Talent

BCT is a volunteer organization, and we can always use more hands. If you are not interested in auditioning, there are positions behind the scenes that need to be filled. Whatever your skill set we can use it, whether for the run of a show or a few extra hours.

We need people with these skills:

Sewing and tailoring

Building/ set construction

Set painting

Technical—lights and sound

Costume management - cleaning, ironing

Backstage management

Theater maintenance

Publicity and poster distribution
